My Story

Thank you so much for supporting me as I take on 5 half marathons in 2026 dressed as The Running Tiger. I will be completing the Tewkesbury Half Marathon in April, the Bristol Half Marathon in May, The Swansea Half Marathon in June, the Cheltenham Half Marathon in September and the Cardiff Half Marathon in October!

I am doing all of this in support of the Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital Charity because in January 2022 my daughter Isabella was diagnosed with a brain tumour at the age of 5.

She was transferred to Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital in Cardiff and had surgery to remove the tumour within a week of arrival. Recovering and amazingly returning to school within 4 weeks of diagnosis.

The help, support and treatment that the hospital and all of its staff gave not only Isabella but the whole family was simply incredible and this has continued with her after care for check ups and scans.

I do not know how me and my family would have got though this terrifying situation without all that the staff and hospital did.

I am running these half marathons in fancy dress as Tigress from Kung Fu Panda to put a smile on children’s faces as they support the run just like what the hospital did so many times for my daughter in this very distressing time.

The hospital and it’s charity ensure that treatment and outcomes for children can continue to improve by funding new and innovative medical equipment and facilities. They support children and families in the here and now through their emotional support service and the much loved play specialist team and they invest in the future by providing technology that helps train the bright clinicians of tomorrow. They also strive to make the hospital a less frightening and more familiar place for children by sprinkling a little fun and happiness into hospital days.

Thank you so much for supporting my runs and the Noah's Ark Children's Hospital Charity!
